Make a One-Off Donation to St John’s

Please do not use this button for payments such as hall hire or wedding fees. For these please contact the Parish Office. On behalf of St. John’s, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who generously contribute to our mission. Your support enables us to fulfill God’s calling in serving the people of Angell Town, and we are deeply appreciative of your kindness and generosity. With your donations, we can provide vital services and support to our community. From outreach programs to education initiatives, from supporting families in need to fostering a welcoming and inclusive worship environment, your contributions make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Your generosity also helps us maintain and improve our facilities, support our dedicated staff and volunteers, and carry out our various ministries. Every gift, no matter the size, plays a significant role in advancing our mission and making a positive impact in our community. Once again, we express our sincere thanks to all those who give to St. John’s. Your support enables us to continue God’s work in Angell Town, and we are grateful for your partnership in our mission to serve others. May God bless you abundantly for your kindness and generosity.

Support the Improvements to the Church Hall

The St. John’s church hall underwent its last renovation in 2005. We have plans to make several improvements to the hall and Church to enhance accessibility and replace the existing toilets with modern facilities that meet the needs of our users for years to come. These enhancements will create a more welcoming and inclusive environment for visitors to the Centre and Church. The upgraded toilet facilities will consist of five self-contained cubicles, each equipped with a WC, basin, and hand dryer. One of these cubicles will be fully accessible for wheelchair users and will also include a shower, washing machine, and baby-changing facilities. Additionally, we require a new kitchen to cater to the needs of the church and hall users during courses and community events, especially in the summer. The estimated cost of these improvements is approximately £200,000 – £215,000, including contingencies. While we are seeking grant funding for the majority of the costs, we still need to raise at least £5,000 through donations towards this project. If you would like to contribute towards the cost of this work, you can make a donation here.

Gift Aid Donations

If you are a UK taxpayer, you can boost the value of your donation without any additional cost to you by utilizing Gift Aid. Many of our existing giving methods already include a Gift Aid declaration, but if needed, you can download a separate declaration form, complete it, and send it to the Parish Office with a note for the attention of the Stewardship Secretary. This will enable us to claim Gift Aid on your donation and make your gift go even further in supporting our cause.
