Proclaiming Jesus Christ in Angell Town and Brixton
Welcoming in Love
Worshipping in FaithWitnessing in Hope

Welcome to St John the Evangelist, Angell Town.

St John’s is an inclusive, diverse community church, committed to welcoming in love, worshipping in faith, and witnessing to the hope of the love of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Angell Town and Brixton.

We are a church family made up of a rich diversity of people, full of people from different cultures, backgrounds, and identities. We come together in love as one church family.

We offer a warm, welcoming atmosphere to all, standing with our doors wide open to offer God’s extraordinary welcome, and our hearts open to receive and share his love in our lives.

Join us for our weekly Parish Eucharist, and our services of morning and evening prayer. Information about home visits and prayer, baptisms, weddings, and funerals can be found below.

Give to Go Green - Illuminate St Johns

Can you help us replace our lighting? We need to raise £6000 to replace our outdated and inefficient lighting system. Every donation will be matched £ for £ by the Church of England's Give to Go Green fund. Whatever you can contribute will help our church be better stewards of God's creation, and help make StJAT a sustainable place to worship for many generations to come.

Donations can be accepted until Sunday 24 August 2025. If you are a UK tax payer, please consider Gift-Aiding your donation.
